Chaudhary Ram Kishan Billa

Chaudhary Ram Kishan Billa is a footballer who scored 18 goals out of 22 alone in the football matches of Punjab University. He never conceded a goal against his team, and this record-breaking football player has yet to be born in our country. Arjuna Award winner Jarnail Singh, Bakhtawar Singh, and Satwant Singh, despite their limited running on the field, also managed to score goals in their companion games. He had such precision in his shots that even from outside the penalty area, he succeeded in scoring goals. Critics of his criticized him for being sluggish, but when the ball touched his feet, he would score a goal. His belief is that without goals, victory is not possible as it depends on luck. Therefore, we need to have a hunger for goals. In 1956-57, Billa's discussions were common in football gatherings. Even today, his talent in the field of football is not visible to us. His son Raj Kumar Bholah, World Cup qualifying rounds, Jagmohan Singh Inter-University, and Manjinder Singh, who holds the first position in the country, have participated in significant tournaments. The entire family is involved in the realm of football. The line of achievements of this family has continued to rise.

According to the concept of talent, speed, stamina, strength, and skill are essential for every athlete. Along with these qualities, the art of prediction is also crucial for a player to excel. It is necessary to take full advantage of the opponent's mistakes on the field. In our country, we play professional sports not only for the nation but also for clubs. When we play for the national team, we adopt a childlike attitude. Chaudhary Ram Kishan Bille, in 1935, spotted the talent of Sri Haranam Das and Mata Pratap Kaur from their home. At a young age, he started playing football but soon shifted to athletics. He worked hard and achieved such recognition that he reached the national level. He became not only a footballer but also excelled in education. Even after retiring from the position of Assistant Collector in the Central Excise Department, he remained associated with sports. There is no competition in the history of Bille's sports career where he did not score two or three goals. In the Santosh Trophy held in 1956-57, Ram Kishan and Jarnail Singh were the only players from their college among all the football players from other clubs. Bille scored three goals out of four in the opening match of this trophy. He values humility, love, and respect for everyone. He remained the top scorer in the Delhi State and Delhi League for three years. He raised the winning flag for the team he played in. He received applause for his sportsmanship in many important competitions of the country.

In their mind, they still consider the day when the team of Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar, accepted their challenge and they won the championship with a 2-1 margin in the playing field. They also believe that having psychological control is essential in order to influence the mental state of the opponent. Swimming pools and gyms should be mandatory in colleges and coaching centers. Football grounds related to football should be present in areas where football is essential. If tennis and boxing can earn millions of rupees, why not footballers? During the selection process, the dominance of politicians directly affects the results of Indian football. Chaudhary Ram Kishan's versatile sports talent was recognized and honored by the Dhaadi Amar Singh Shaunki Yadgari Trust on January 29, 1992. Despite achieving so much, he never boasts about it and continues to lead sports activities from time to time. He holds the record for scoring 18 goals in Inter-College University competitions alone, for which his sponsors have awarded him a prize of one lakh rupee
