Yashpal Jassi

Yashpal Jassi, a footballer hailing from Mahilpur village, has made a significant impact in the Indian football scene. In 1989, when Jassi received an offer from the Mohammedan Sporting Club, it shook the entire sports department of Punjab. The presiding Governor of Punjab, made an important statement that they would investigate the reasons behind Jassi joining a team other than Punjab. Although talented players like Tajinder Kumar had opportunities coming their way, it was unclear whether the government had provided them with the necessary treatment or if their condition still required medical attention. It remains unknown whether Jassi's remarkable achievements in the football world have surpassed those of talented footballers like Tajinder Kumar from Mahilpur.
