Asim Hassan

In 1981, I joined the 11th grade at Government Secondary School, Mahilpur, in the eleventh batch, where a teacher named Coach Ali Hasan was well-known among the students. Football activities were quite popular at the school, and the football nursery in Mahilpur was adorned by a dedicated and passionate coach named Ali Hasan. When he came to Mahilpur from Malerkotla in search of a job, He became a part of the Mahilpuriya community.
Ali Hasan contributed to the field of sports and introduced various sports techniques that elevated several sports to the national and international levels. The number of students playing football in Mahilpur and surrounding areas increased significantly. The entire family, where football was a constant topic of discussion, naturally became involved in this wave. Adil and Asim, the sons of Ali Hasan, also became stars in this sport. Adil, Asim, along with their sisters Nidha, Saima, and Azvi, excelled in sports and the world of arts.
In 1990, during the Mahilpur Earthquake, the entire family's children contributed their talents through Bal Melas (Children's Fairs), Bal Kafalas (Children's Groups), Shounki Mela (Cultural Fair), and Bhashi Kavi Darbars (Poetry Recitals). They showcased their artistic skills and captivated the audience with their performances, not only in Punjab but also in Delhi and South India.
To promote children's literature and book culture, a group of child literature enthusiasts called Bal Preet Milan Kafalas was formed under the guidance of Dr. Rama Rattan, along with S. Ashok Baura, S. D. Krishnarao, and myself. I was fortunate to be a part of this initiative and contribute my services. You would be surprised to know that wherever the Bal Mela or Kafala went, the children would eagerly take the autographs of these child artists. Kuldeep Kaur Bains, the daughter of Kuldip Kaur Bains, and Amandeep Singh, along with other witnesses, can still attest to this.
The pivotal roles in the artist group were played by Asim, Adil, Nidha, Azvi, and Niku, and the special mention of Kakke's name was significant in this artist group.
Asim was born on November 19, 1986, in the household of Zahida Parveen. He emerged as a remarkable player in the field and gained recognition. In his early years, he attended Sangam Public School, followed by Doaba and SAS Paldi schools in Mahilpur, where he learned various sports. At a young age, he excelled in playing cricket and showed exceptional skills. In the subsequent years, he participated in Asian Schools and national-level competitions, representing the J.C.T. Club Phagwara in 2006. His demand as a player grew, leading him to join other prominent clubs in India. He showcased his sportsmanship in FC Pune in 2014, Tollygunge Kolkata in 2015-16, and DSK Shivajian Pune. He also participated in the Santosh Trophy Tournament in 2007-08. Throughout his sports career, he achieved several awards for being the best player in significant competitions and won numerous championships in Punjab's important tournaments.
In March 2016, he married Hasna Hafiz in England and settled there. Even there, he maintained his love for football and started coaching courses, acquiring F.A. Level 1, 2, and 3 coaching licenses by 2020. Through his journey, he has blended his childhood passion for performing arts with his sports career and has embarked on coaching duties. He desires that his son, Mustafa Hasan, also shines in this field. Asim currently enjoys listening to music and songs with his family. Football holds a special place in his heart, and he cherishes the love, respect, and thoughts associated with it.
