Sukhdev Singh
"Sukhdev Singh Sukha", born in the village Haveli near Mahilpur, the grandson of Udham Singh and Gurdev Kaur, has become a prominent footballer from Mahilpur. He began his sports career at the Mahilpur Football Academy. It was there that he learned the basics of the game. He then started aiming high and began scoring goals in football matches. He never lost heart, and with courage and dedication, he dedicated himself to the game of football. His commitment led him to become a member of the Mohan Bagan Club. His journey so far has been full of hard work and perseverance. He has a special quality of loving and respecting everyone. He believes that along with sporting skills, human qualities are necessary to achieve higher goals. The headmaster, Arvinder Singh, at Pannery, encourages and works hard to provide him with opportunities to reach greater heights.
"He has been showcasing his talent in the National School Games through the Mahilpur Academy. Khalsa College, Mahilpur, has further enhanced his abilities with their excellent support. His knowledge of game techniques and the use of the field has surpassed others. His presence in famous football tournaments of Punjab has been noteworthy. He has earned praise for his performance in tournaments like the Doaba Cup, Jarnail Singh Football Garhshankar Tournament, and Principal Harbhajan Football Tournament. He is skilled in both defense and technical gameplay."
"In 2010, he started his journey by joining the Punjab University team and competing in inter-university matches. In 2013, he became a member of Vasco Sporting Club from Goa and later, in 2014, he joined United Club Mahilpur. After that, he became a part of Minerva Club and showcased his skills. The team became the champions of the I-League in 2018. In 2019, he participated in Mohun Bagan. His sports career has been on the rise with each passing year. He believes that with courage and dedication, every goal can be achieved.
